Historical Paintings by Eugene Carara

Overview

A collection of 10 historical paintings make up the Eugene Carara Collection, housed in the lower rotunda area of the Logan County Courthouse in downtown Sterling. The late Carara lived in Sterling and taught art at Sterling High School for 30 years. In 1984 he copyrighted 10 oil paintings, all symbolic of historically important events and locations to the people of northeast Colorado. Free to view. Open to the public Monday thru Friday.
